ATTORNEY TIMMONS

Ian Timmons is an experienced criminal defense attorney and skilled trial lawyer. He handles misdemeanor and felony cases, specializing in defending clients accused of violent crimes. More specifically, the bulk of Ian’s caseload consists of assaults, family violence crimes, aggravated assaults, and other victim-based crimes involving allegations of violence or the threat of violence.

Ian worked as a prosecutor at the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, working in the trial bureau and as an intake prosecutor. As an intake prosecutor Ian was responsible for evaluating cases presented to the district attorney’s office by law enforcement officers. In doing so, Ian reviewed thousands of criminal cases, evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of each case before making a final charging decision. Ian would go on to serve as a prosecutor in Fort Bend, where he would work in the domestic violence division as a prosecutor specializing in family violence crimes.

Ian uses the skills and experience he developed over his career as a prosecutor to serve his clients. Ian thoroughly investigates the prosecutor’s case, obtaining all of the evidence collected by police, interviewing witnesses, and predicting the prosecutor’s strategy. Ian will find and attack every weakness in the prosecutor’s case to secure dismissals, trial wins, and the best possible outcomes for his clients.

When Ian is not working he enjoys painting and spending time outdoors.
